Pulled Noodles with Spicy Garlic Sauce
Ingredients:
- 500g of all-purpose flour
- 250ml of warm water
- 1 tsp of salt
- 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
- 4 cloves of garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp of soy sauce
- 1 tbsp of chili oil
- 2 spring onions (finely chopped)
- 30g of sesame seeds (toasted)
Kitchen Tools Needed:
- large mixing bowl
- rolling pin
- sharp knife
- large pot
- pan
- wooden spoon
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Gradually add warm water while kneading the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- After resting, divide the dough into two equal parts. Roll each piece into a long cylinder and let them sit for another 10 minutes.
- Using a rolling pin, flatten each cylinder into thin sheets. Cut the sheets into desired noodle width using a sharp knife.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil and carefully add the noodles. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until they float. Drain and set aside.
- In a pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in soy sauce and chili oil, mixing well.
- Add the cooked noodles to the pan, using a wooden spoon to toss them in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the noodles to absorb the flavors.
- Serve the noodles hot, garnished with chopped spring onions and toasted sesame seeds.
